powerpoint on DVD

Here's my problem. I work on my school's film series,
and I'd like to create a pre-film slideshow (info on
films, adverts, etc, set to music if possible). But our
projector room does not have a computer. Is there a way
to create an auto-playing slideshow and then burn it to
DVD so that it will play, and hopefully loop
indefinitely, on our DVD player? Thanks, Nich

It would be a lot easier to use something like Ulead's DVD Pictureshow
(there are other similar programs out there). It lets you string together a
load of images as an autorunning DVD or VCD.
You could still use PowerPoint to create the images, save them as JPEGs or
PNGs and import them into DVD Pictureshow. You'd lose any transitions,
however.

There's a free trial you can download to see if it's suitable.
