powerpoint needs to shut down

I searched for this solution but did not find. So I need help. Thanks. I
created a powerpoint presentation in 2003 on XP. It opens just fine on my PC.
When I put it on my laptop, also w 2003 and Xp, I have to click on slide show
real fast or I get error that powerpoint needs to shut down; and it will
unless I am fast enough to go to slideshow. In other words, I cant just open
it w/o getting the error. If I open it with "viewer" everything seems to be
fine. Any suggestions would be helpful as I need to take it out in the public
on a drive or on my laptop. Thanks again

What happens if you start a new, blank presentation in PPT on the problem
machine. Does the same error occur? What's the exact error message?
