Powerpoint keeps changing my assigned action keys to a default

I am editing a Powerpoint Presentation. When I assign actions to action keys
(mouse click), its accepted, but after a while defaults back to a different
setting. Even when I save. I am using MS Office 2003 and 2007 on different
machines. I did not notice this when using MS Office 2007. Is it a script or
is it just a compatibality issue?

I am having a similar problem. I'm on PPT '03 and trying to link to a slide
in another presentation. After I go through the action settings, apply the
slide and presentation (contained in the same folder as the main presentation
file), and I preview it works correctly. Then, when I save and close, reopen
and try again, it "cannot open specified file". I'm ready to pull an office
space on my machine. please advise...

Exactly how are you "apply[ing] the slide and presentation"?
