HELP!! PowerPoint 2007 Keeps Crashing

C

CarlH.

I have a presentation in PowerPoint 2007 running on XP SP3 with Office SP1 on
a Latitude D820 laptop. The first 3 slides consists of hyperlinks to other
slides in the presentation. Once the show starts any movement of the mouse
(touchpad or USB - have tried both) causes the program to crash. Office
Diagnostics is unable to find any problem but it happens on almost every
attempt. I have tried adjusting hardware acceleration from full to none,
installed a test printer, and yet the problem still exists. This is driving
me crazy because I can find no other reason why this is happening and am
afraid to run this in front of my client. Does anyone have any information
on a possible fix for this??

Is it any presentation, or just this one?

That will help use to determine if it is a corrupt presentation, or a
hardware issue.

It's just this one so far. I have numerous hyperlinks linked to shapes on a
timeline that allow the viewer to navigate to slides that explain timeline
entries and to go back and forth. As soon as it loads and I move my mouse it
crashes.

Bill, if it's any help, I can run the same presentation on my wife's inspiron
700m and it works just fine, so it must be some type of hardware or software
conflict. My video card is an NVidia Quadro 110m if that helps.

Are you able to send it to me? I would be interested in looking at the file
itself. I will not share the contents of the file around, I'm just looking
for what might be going wrong with it.
