powerpoint 2007 action does not work

Using powerpoint 2007

I put an action at the end of my presentation to link back to the first
slide. When that didn't work I tried doing it with the hyperlink too.

If I preview the slideshow from the slide show with the action on it, it
works. It even works if I preview from about 3 slides from the end.

But, When I run the whole slideshow, 33 slides, it does not work.
It goes to a blank black screen when I click on it.

I have saved the program.

What's wrong.

Dan,

actions and hyperlinks require you to click them during a slideshow with the
mouse.

Why not just set to slideshow to "loop until esc" - to get it to return to
the first slide

slideshow menu > setup slideshow

Because I don't want it to loop. I want it to stop on the last slide. With a
choice to watch again.

Are you setting the action setting to

"first slide"

or are you choose "slide" and then "slide 1"

try swapping them around
