PowerPoint hyperlink

I have created a Jeopardy-type game with hyperlinks in PowerPoint. The table
has 4 columns and 4 rows. The hyperlinks in the cells in the first 2 columns
work great. Some of the hyperlinks in the last 2 columns are a problem. I
highlight the text and try to create the hyperlink. In the Edit Hyperlink
window, the Preview side is blank. When I create the hyperlink anyway, and go
to Slide Show View, the newly added hyperlink does not work. The hyperlink is
being made out of just text... no special characters or graphics. Ideas?

And note that it's what you are hyperlinking *to* that shouldn't have
special characters, not what you are hyperlinking *from*.
