I am working on a presentation about PowerPoint and I would like some general
information about the software history and Microsoft's statement about why
they made it and what its purpose is. If you can contribute, a speedy reply

Take a look at http://www.bitbetter.com/powertips.htm then click on the
history of PowerPoint. This will take you to an actual PowerPoint
presentation that was created by a former Microsoft employee that managed
product planning for the early versions of PowerPoint.
