yes, in a way: you should be able to select any Theme that's installed
in all Office applications that support themes.
In Word, this will give you heading/bodytext fonts, color schemes, and
(SmartArt) effects. But it will not automatically give you, say, a
background from the PPT slide master. [You could copy it to Word, of
course.]
As Word has only got "two thirds" of the new Escher graphix engine, only
certain type of objects will profit from the effects IIRC.
