PowerPoint Cut and paste chart issue

After cut and paste pie chart from Excel in PPT after some day if i open the
PPT, Pie chart which i pasted from Excel is missing.
 
Hi

Is there something there in its place? Is the whole slide gone or just the
chart? What version of PowerPoint/Excel are you sing? Is it a 'normal' paste
or a paste special? Does this only happen in one presentation or in several?

If we can narrow down the problem, we've more chance of solving it :-)
