PowerPoint couldn't write to Microsoft Word

I keep getting this message when I try to send my handout file to Word to
send for printing What gives?
 
I'm assuming you are using the

File menu > send to word (feature) of powerpoint?

Does it get to a certain slide and then give the error message?

Yes it did, but I actually solved it myself. There was a picture on the
slide that had an unusual extension. I don't at this point recall what it
was. I made a duplicate of the slide after I found that the individual slide
would not copy to word either, and I tested each element until I round that
that picture and that alone was preventing the slide from copying. I then
opened the picture in another application, saved it as a .jpg and put it back
