PowerPoint and other office menus

In PowerPoint and other Office applications the drop down
menus drop down quite slowly when they are clicked. Is
there any specific reason that these menus are slow?
Thanks.
 
Go to Tools > Customize > Options and select "Always show full menus". Does
that fix the problem for you?
