How do you place an image on a slide adjusting its position so that is
centred horizontally relative to slide.
Also with three coloured ovals containing text, how can you without moving
the shape or removing the colour apply a setting that will enable all the
text to be visible in all three ovals.

Are you wanting to do this in design mode or presentation mode?

If design mode, left click on the image while holding down on the mouse
button will allow you to move and place the image anywhere on the slide or
you could right click and choose the size and position option. As far as you
second question check and make sure the font color is not the same color as
the shape color. If this is the case you text won't show.
