Powerpoint 2007: Where is the 4 picture layout?

Hello, sorry, but I'm still completely stupid with the new interface for
Office 2007:

I just can't find any of the old, standard, layouts for Powerpoint slides.
Of course, I see the layout button, but it only lists a few layouts.

Specifically, how do I set up 4 pictures on one slide in an even grid of 2x2?

Thanks!

You can create your own layouts in PPT 2007. To add one, right-click and
Insert Layout. To add the placeholders, select the layout, then on the Slide
Master tab, choose Insert Placeholder | Picture. Draw 4 of those on the
slide, then size and align as appropriate using the tools on the Drawing
Tools Format tab (which appears when you select the picture placeholders).

Sorry, but where am I supposed to right click? I try on any slide, or on the
layout button on the toolbar but I do not see any option to "Insert Layout".

Also, I see no "Slide" tab. There is "Slide-Show" but this does not seem to
apply.

Seriously, isn't there just a default layout to do this? It's been standard
in powerpoint for like a decade :(

Kevin, follow these steps:

1. Choose the View tab, and click Slide Master -- this gets you in Slide
Master editing view.

2. In the left pane you'll see one large thumbnail -- this denotes the Slide
Master. Below this larger thumbnail, you'll see several smaller
thumbnails -- these denote the various Slide Layouts available for this
particular Slide Master. In your case, you want to create a new Slide
Layout.

3. In the Ribbon, within the Slide Master tab, click the Insert Layout
button to create a new layout. This will place a new Slide Layout that you
can see highlighted in the left pane.

4. Now add some placeholders. For example, if you want to add a picture
placeholder you would click the Insert Placeholder button (the arrow below
the button) in the Ribbon to access the Placeholder gallery. Within this
gallery, choose the Picture option. Your cursor will turn into a
cross-hair -- drag and draw on the Slide Layout to create a new picture
placeholder. Repeat as required to add more placeholders.

5. Get back to Normal view by clicking the Close Master View button on the
Slide Master tab of the Ribbon.
