Powerpoint 2007 photo slideshow

I am just starting out preparing a photo slideshow for a wedding. I have a
few questions:

1. Is there any way I can save the file and play it in a DVD instead of
having to bring my computer to the event.

2. I am not having any luck attaching music to the file. I need some help
with that. Is there a way to automatically have all the pictures timed to
the music?

You would be better off using something like Movie Maker to time the music
to the pictures. Then you'd export the video and use DVD authoring software
to create the DVD.

Or, some DVD authoring software will do this kind of thing -- let you create
a picture show -- itself.

Thanks Echo... Sorry to show my ignorance but.... would I create the video in
PowerPoint and then export it to Movie Maker? Then bring in the music?

No, you'd just leave PowerPoint out of it altogether. Just make the
picture/music video in Movie Maker (you can add "animations" of sorts --
pans and fades and stuff -- to the pictures in Movie Maker), then import the
video into the DVD authoring software and create the DVD.
