Powerpoint 2003 custom animation

I have a slide that contains a short movie and a textbox (as a crawler at the
bottom of the slide). Both of these objects are start "with previous".
Although I set the textbox to "rewind when done playing", it still waits for
the movie to complete before it rewinds. Can these 2 objects animate
independently? Thanks.

P/s: I double posted the same in Office General Questions.

Hi,

When you say a "crawler" which specific animation did you use? The ones I
tested seem to work~ motion path, crawl in, fly in.

I use motion path. The textbox moves from right to left then pauses for 5sec
and then left to right. These are suppose to rewind endlessly.

To achieve this, I have Group 1 moves from right to left, with previous,
rewind when done playing and another Group 1 moves left to right, after
previous and 5sec delay (pause). Short movie is with previous.

Please advise if the above animations is setup incorrectly. Thank you.

Hi,

If I understand it correctly, this animation sequence will fire once and
then stop. You cant get a delay in one to follow another one unless you
reload the slide. You would need to run it, then have the timing to reload
the slide again.

Animations don't play when I go back to a slide
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00598.htm

So, sequence 1 runs.
Sequence runs after 5 second delay.
Slide transitions to hidden slide before current slide with zero transition
time, refiring the slide.
