I am working on powerpoint automation.

Can somebody tell me what can be the reason because of which powerpoint
process (POWERPNT.EXE) may reside in the memory even after closing the
powerpoint application?

Thanks

Your application did not completely quit PowerPoint. This also happens if
your application crashes and doesn't quit PowerPoint. What are the commands
that your are calling to close your presentation(s) and quit PowerPoint?
What version of PowerPoint?

Or if PowerPoint crashes on its own. 2002 in particular has a habit of doing
this.
