my daughter turned on the power up password on my laptop
(toshiba) She dosnt know what password she put in (or
says she doesnt), and I dont have a recovery disc,
does anyone know if the power up password can be
bypassed??

Hi,

If it's the BIOS password, it can be reset by either removing the battery or
shorting a jumper on the motherboard. Which she should use depends on the
system, check her documentation.

We have already tried removing the internal battery, left
out overnight, but it still requests password, there is
no motherboard specs in the manual so im at a loss for
your second idea, but thanks for your help.
