power switch

Hi all, a silly one but since upgrading my pc to Win2000
whenever I power down I have to hold in the on/off switch
for about 8 seconds. This didnt happen with Windows 98 and
it doesnt happen on another pc running Win2000. Is there a
setting somewhere, or in the BIOS where this can be
altered?

most people just go to Start then Shutdown, you should
only have to use the power button for when it hoses up, so
why even worry about it

That "timer" behavior on the power button can also be set in the BIOS.
