Power schemes disappeared in SP@

I recently formatted my comp so now running win xp sp2 on a toshiba m30
laptop. On my main admin account i can change my power shemes but after
joining my work domain and setting up that user in the admin group as well
the sheme drop down is blank :S Someone help me please its very annoying and
i can't do a system restore, I've tried and its always comes back incomplete!

just a guess, is the other user part of another group? maybe those rights are
overiding the added admin?

I just checked and there are no duplicates in any of the groups. I have even
set all users in the admin group to make sure. There is only one user that
can access the power schemes even though they are all set to admins :S i do
have domain users and domain admins set in the admin group as well and that
didnt' work so i tried to add the individual user in as well and that didnt'
work either :S i really dont' knwo what to do next besides reformatting which
i really dont' want to do again. Thanks so far bondo.

Thanks for all your help, Kelly I tried that and no dice : ( I couldnt' stand
it anymore so I cracked and reformatted :S oh well everything is back to
normal now. Thanks again for everyones help and support.
