Power Save?

XP Pro SP2 -

Using the computer at home with 4 family users each having their own log-in
setup. We each have a screen saver which is set at 30min. The Power
Settings are set to hibernate in 2hrs. When logged-in the screen saver
comes on after 30min of not using the computer and hibernates after 2hrs.
All the above works like I expect it to when "Logged-In".

However, when logged-off with the log-on screen showing, the computer goes
in power save mode in 15min. I like to change that, where is it? The
Screen Saver Power Options and Control Panel Power settings doesn't seem to
have an impact when logged-off, only when logged-on.

Thanks

hi mark,

i think the screen saver and power options follow the computer's admin's
settings when you are on the logon screen.

you might want to try downloading tweak ui from the microsoft website and
install it.

once installed, open the logon tab > settings > and check any entry you
prefer. this copies the current settings to the logon desktop.

hope this helps.

regards!

It's been my experience that the power/ss settings from the LAST user to
have logged on is what is used.
