Power save issue with monitor

After installing Quicken 2005, my monitor does not recover from standby mode.
The system appears to recover but the monitor will not sync. I must reboot to
recover the monitor. I uninstalled Quicken; however, this did not fix the
problem.

Does anyone know of a solution to resolve the problem? At this time, I am
just not using the power save modes.

Remove the keyboard, and mouse and video devices from device manager, and
see if that helps.

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the device, Action menu,
"Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the device drivers again
automatically. It may take more than one cycle to do all three.
