power problem

my computer turns on by itself in middle of the night.I have up to date
norton security,windows update and ad-aware.I also put a new power supply in
and cleaned inside tower. anyone help please?

You need to boot into your bios and check your power on events. I wish I
could help more but not knowing what type of bios you have I cannot tell you
how to boot into it or how to find the power on events within it. I am
assuming that it is powering on because of a LAN query. Most of the time
your computer will say press _ key to enter setup(_ being the key a lot of
times its the del key). Good Luck

None of the things you mention is relevant. Go into your BIOS setup program,
look for entries like "Wake on ring" and "Wake on LAN," and turn these off.

Please note that any windows programs you have installed have NOTHING to
do with your PC when it is turned off. Check your bios and turn off wake
on lan and/or wake on modem to keep your pc from turning on at night.
