Power Point Presentation: problems sending

I am trying to send a powerpoint presentation, however every time I have sent
it to my other email address to ensure it is working properly, it comes in
requiring me to click on slide show to view it. I am having trouble sending
it as a presentation only. What am I doing wrong. If need be, I can email
the presentation if that will help with my problem.
 
Save your presentation as a Slideshow (.pps) or change the .ppt extension to
..pps and try emailing to your self again
