Power Point, .mpg files , and message boards

Hello
I have to post my ppt to a message board. However my .mpg file will not show
up when other people download it. I tried having them all download the .mpg
to their desktops and downloading the ppt to the desktop as well. For some
this worked and the .mpg opened automatically when they got to that slide.

However for some this did not work..... What can I do to make the .mpg play
in everyone’s ppt when they download it at home??? (Keep in mind not everyone
who will be opening this ppt is computer literate, so the less they have to
do the better!)

I would first put the .ppt and the .mpg into a single folder and compress it
to a .zip, this way you know people have downloaded all elements and they
are in a folder.

Next, because movie files (your .mpg) rely on codecs to work, you need to
make sure they are created with a windows native codec. If the viewing
computer does not have the codec installed, the movie will not play and I am
fairly certain this is the issue. The easiest solution is to download and
use the PFCMedia (which stands for 'plays for certain') add-in. Get the
details here, www.pfcmedia.com

Hopefully those two steps will resolve almost all of the problems.
