Power point freezes when I try to install a video clip, why ?

I have tried all file types, avi. mpeg. and they all freeze up the system, I
tried it on another pc that has less memory and it worked. I need to have
this presentation done on my pc, what should I do.

A. Just to check you are using Insert > movies and sounds > movie from file?

B. Try putting the video and ppresentation in the same folder before you
insert the video

C. See if the files play if you use start> run > mplay32.exe in windows to
open them
