Ok, maybe i didnt word it correctly in the question.

I am trying to make a gameshow similar to 10,000 pyramid. I have 6 topics,
and I want the audience to choose a topic, and once they choose it there is
animation to move the box on top and another box underneath appears which has
the prize. I want to be able to click on any topic in any order (whatever
order the audience memeber picks first) and show them the prize they are
playing for. When I add the custom animation on there it gives me a number
next to the box and it only goes in that order. I want it to be where if the
audience member picks topic 6 I can click that , and then if they pick topic
2 I can pick that, instead of going from 1-6 in order. I hope this is clear
enough, sorry for any confusion.

If you have PowerPoint 2002 or 2003 you can use Triggers to animate objects
in any order. Read the HELP file to see how to assign an animation using
Custom Animations by triggering the animation.

I much better.

You will want to use trigger. Triggers are an interactive animation type
that allows you to activate a single or series of animations based on what
was clicked on. I'm sure this sounds a lot more like what you need.

To set-up a trigger animation, you will need to be running PowerPoint 2002
(XP) or 2003. Set up the animation you want to be completed, then select
Timing (from the small pulldown menu on the extreme right of the animation
label). In the dialog box that pops up, there are several options, one of
which is Triggers. Click on this. The option to Start effect on click of
.... will allow you to pick what shape will start what effect. The number
beside the shape will be replaced with a little finger thingee that denotes
a triggered effect shape.

Now, what you may want to do is:
1) Create a prize triangle and give it an exit animation
2) Create a category overlay and give it an exit animation
3) Use the trigger on the category triangle to cause it to exit
4) move the exit animation on the prize under the trigger for the category
5) add a several second delay to the prize exit animation

Now when you click on the category triangle, the category will exit
revealing the prize which will stay visible for several seconds then it too
will exit. Looks nice when done this way. Now all you have to do is copy
the Category/prize pair and paste 5 times, changing the wording of each
(since the animations are already set.

You will want to look at several of the examples that are available from
websites like...
