Power Point 2002 frequent crashing, bad recovered file PLEASE HELP

I was working on a presentation for few days but used to save every 5
minutes. Today the software crashed and a box showed up telling me that the
program will close but there was a check box to recover the file and restart
PowerPoint. When I selected the check box and hit restart, two files where
listed under recovered file when power point opened, without looking in the
content (slides) of the two files, I selected the most recent one to save
assuming it has the latest changed I did at the moment of crash, I was asked
If I want to replace the existing file before hit save and I did but when I
looked into the saved file it tuned out that 5 slides where lost. they appear
in the presentation but completely empty, no text no images. I should have
looked into the content of the two files the recovery function gave me.
Please tell me where can I get the last complete work before the crash?
Thanks
