Before installing any mother board I clear the CMOS as soon as I get
it out of the plastic bag.Pull power cord and clear the CMOS.
Check that the HSF cable is on the correct mother board header as many
newer boards will not boot if they don't detect the CPU fan on the
correct connection.

Hi, also have you checked that the motherboard has not come with the jumper
for the clear cmos set to "reset BIOS" as I know some motherboards won't
boot with the jumper shorting the bios to clear it.

Also have you checked that you have got the Power Switch lead on the right
way on the header and also on the right pins that is on the header for the
power switch, as this can be a common cause of a dead PC.

Also, is the voltage select switch set on the right voltage on the back of
the power supply.

Hope this helps.
Anthony
