I have an automated weekend house that often has power failures. My Windows
XP, unlike my old Windows 2000, does not seem to restart and reboot
automatically when the power is restored, thereby rendering the automation
and remote control of this house inoperable. How do I fix this problem?

The option you want would likely be in the computer bios - if it is offered
at all. Look for something similar to "restore operation upon return from
power loss".

It may be in the bios under power settings, choices depending on bios
are, restart, do nothing, ect.
