power callibration error with cd-r

Can someone PLEASE HELP !! I keep getting power callibration error when
trying to burn a cd. I've tried cleaning the lens but to no avail. Has anyone
had this problem and found a way to solve it? I've got windows xp and am
using nero to burn cds.
 
I have come across this problem a number of times, for me updating the
firmware of the drive has always cured the issue
