POUND SIGN

Hi, why is it that when i insert a pound sign, and check the preview i get
the following character before the pound sign:

so it would preview as: £20.00

can anyone help.

Try entering your monetary sign in this manner. Hold down the Alt key, then
on the numeric key pad enter 0136 It should result in £ (Num lock must be
on)
