Potential problem with XP SP2

Hi

I notice that one of the fixes in sp2 is the installation of the advanced
networking pack. I installed this a while ago and had quite a problem. When I
connected to the internet my pc froze for 5 minutes (after that it ws fine).
A pleasent chap from the online support team tracked the problem down to this
pack and helped me disable it (I couldn't uninstall it using add/remove
programs in control panel - don't know why the chap from Microsoft said
don't).

I presume that I will have the same problem after installing SP2?

I have a HP pavilion 423.uk with 1GB ram 1.8ghz Celeron and a wife who would
prefer a new washing machine to a PC

You might also open internet connections, select or have only:Client for
Microsoft
Networks,Internet Protocal, and Microsoft TCP/IP6 Packet scheduling delete or
uninstall, and others do the same for.

I went through this with the support guy - his advice was to disable it -
which as my pc is running fine is what I'll probably do
