I want to be able to shift recurring appointments (and
all subsequent instances of them) back a day when I have
a day off. e.g if I have a recurring appointment on
Monday at 10 and then take Monday off, I now want the
appointment to be on Tuesday at 10 (and all thr
recurrences to be Tuesdays at 10)
I am using Outlook 2002

Open your calendar, move the instance you want to postpone. When prompted
if you want to move the one occcurence or all, select just the one.
