Would like to drag a word document into Outlook and perhaps maintain it as an
'email'. Click and drag did not work. I've seen a posting option on the
machines of others but could not find adequate documentation. I have Outlook
2003 and 2007. Guidance sought

Outlook is really not well-suited to be a document management system.
Perhaps if you elaborate a bit on what you're trying to accomplish we could
suggest a better solution?

if you want it as an email you need to attach it to an email. What happens
if you just drop it into a folder?

Much thanks for the timely reply. I would like to essentially 'flag' a
sizeable number of files in a variety of folders. The specific files change
throughout the year. At certain times of the year I need to be reminded of
their existance. Perhaps this is development item. I consider myself a
user between novice and intermediate. Much thanks for any guidance

I'd probably do it as task instead of an appointment but yes, I think that's
a clever solution.
