posting level period

What is a "posting level period" and what does it have to do with the MS Jet
database engine?

WE use an accounting program built on Access and are getting error messages
concerning MS Jet. When we researched them on MS help, it said they are
related to exceeding the number of posting level periods permitted in Access.
However, we don't know what to do about it.

More than likely it's a custom message created by the Accounting
program. Contact the vendor.

Thanks for your reply. I only wish it were a custom message, but the vendor
has no clue what it means. Microsoft help links the text in the error message
we are getting to exceeding the permitted number of posting level periods in
Access but nowhere does it define that term. Thanks for trying, though.
