Jet database engine stopped process

I am getting this error when I try to "some" of the queries in design.
No-one has these queries open, no-one even has MS Access open. Everyone
touching this database is doing it through MS Runtime.

"The microsoft jet database engine stopped the process because you and
another user are attempting to change the data at the same time"

Could someone please help me get these queries open in design.
Yes, I can make and mde file there are no errors, yes I have shut down
Access and reopened it...
Any suggestions?
 
You might look at:

Pick your version of Access (Product to search, such as Access 2003), then
put the error phrase in the text search at the top.

This should give you some hits which you can evaluate as appropriate to your
situation, or not.
