Just wondering if it is possible to create an "MP3 CD" using Win XP for
playing in a portable CD player that is MP3 capable? I don't want to have
to buy a burning package unless I have to.

Thanks!

sure, it's just a regualr data CD with just MP3's on it. You can burn using
Windows Explorer
