POSSIBLE TO CHANGE ANOTHER USER'S DESKTOP BACKGROUND?

Hi anyone who would like to help me get up to some mischief,

I have an issue here at work which I would like to solve by changing
another user's desktop wallpaper, whose profile is stored on the
machine on which I work.

Is there a way to change someone's desktop wallpaper without logging
in as them?

pull this "prank"? And I suppose that you are willing to accept full

Don't get me wrong, like most everybody else I do enjoy the occasional
good "safe" prank. But the one you are trying to pull would require
that you remotely edit the "victim's" user profile. You need
Administrator privileges to do this and if you are on a domain the
user's profile may not even be stored locally. I don't think it would
be a good idea to experiment with this particular prank, it could
backfire on you!

Even though your initial words sounded a little harsh, I understood
the point you were trying to make so there's no need to 'sugar coat'
it. What you are saying is true and it could definitely backfire on
me and jeopardize my employment so thanks for making me realise. If
there was an easy way to do what I was trying to achieve, then I
wouldn't see it as such an offensive thing, but since it is complex
and could destroy critical files then I will find another form of
revenge that doesn't use the office IT equipment.
