I have four Windows Xp home Pc's networked & share a DSL
line through a Linksys router. The web connection has
been great. Today I lost my internet connection on one
Pc. I ran Norton's A/V and nothing was found. When I ping
anything, it is found but the computer beep and it
displays a graphic figure in the dos window. Has anyone
seen this?

Thanks, Tony.

Tony,

This sounds like a problem with name resolution, which can be caused by a
Winsock / LSP problem.

Give LSP-Fix and WinsockLSPFix a shot <http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm>

With XP SP2, Start - Run - "cmd". Type "netsh winsock reset catalog" into the
command window.

If none of that helps, reset TCP/IP.

Start - Run - "cmd". Type "netsh int ip reset c:\netsh.txt" into the command
window. Reboot afterwards.
