Possible Conflict - TIA

I have to run an application under XP that requires a virtually dedicated
system. I have:
- set the power management to eliminate interference
- turned off the screen saver
- ran Adaware and deleted all items found
- deleted all cookies
- turned off the internet connection
- ran msconfig to disable everything under startup and all non-Microsoft
applications under services

I'm still experiencing some type of conflict/interference at 45-55 minute
intervals. Is there any way to identify what might be causing the problem?
Any suggestions as to what the problem might be? Is there anything in
Microsoft's XP that I can reset or adjust?

Could you expand/clarify? I don't know what you mean by "indexing service".

I found out what the indexing service and checked it and it's turned off on
my system. Any other ideas? I've got a feeling that something like that is
the problem, i.e. some type of internal housekeeping that Windows XP is
doing sporadically that is eating just enough processor power to cause a
conflict.
