POSReady 2009 installation issues

I have installed an 120-day evaluation copy of Windows Embedded POSReady 2009
on different PC's, and ran into the following problems:

- On an epox motherboard (wit an Intel chipset), I had to install the
drivers for the onboard devices (display, network, ...) manually from an
external medium. I previously installed Windows XP pro on this machine, which
detected detected & installed the devices automatically. Am I missing
something or is this by intend to limit the size of the image?

- Installing POSReady on a Dell Precision 390 computer results in a 'missing
or corrupt hal.dll'. Also on this machine I had XP pro installed previously
without any problems.

Thanks,
Paul.

I ran the installation on different machines and with different
configurations, some with and some without the extra drivers selected.
What confuses me is that POSReady is based on Windows XP (or Server 2003
standard edition?) but that the installation behaves completely different. I
assume this may be to limit the size of the OS image.

Thanks,
Paul.
