Port Forwarding for Remote Assistance?

I recently had someone connect to my computer using the "remote assistance"
feature which basically means that they can see my desktop and control my
pointer (changing random things.)

Anyways, when I tried to connect to his, it wouldn't let me.

I have a modem/router without a DMZ feature which means I have to port
forward to successfully use online programs. Is there any possibility that
this could be the problem?

And if so, what ports do I need to forward so that I can connect to other
people's computers.

Thanks,
Adam

Not sure if Remote Assistance is also using this port but that is the known
port (3389) for Remote Desktop Protocol (aka Terminal Services).
