porn picture in windows startup and shut down

I get a porn picture in the start up and shutdown of
windows2000 professional. I appears temporarily after I
logon when windows is loading and disappears when the
desktop appears. The same thing happens when I
shutdown/restart. It is only temporary. I have contacted
both internet provider and microsoft and they haven't
heard of this. Any help????

Something / someone has probably simply replaced
winnt.bmp and/or winnt256.bmp with porn bitmaps.
Just look at those two images with your favourite
image viewer - if you see porn that would confirm
my hypothesis - in which case you should be able to find
the originals on your W2K CD and you can simply replace the
ones on your hard drive.

If you have downloaded one of the service packs you can
also extract just those two files from the service pack.
If you don't know how to do that, just post back here
and I or someone else will show you how.

Turn off the Active Desktop, remove the "porn" Bitmap that you (or
someone else using the computer under your login account) had set as
the background.
