Popups

Please excuse me if I'm posting off topic however I'm not sure whether my
problem is a windows one or an other application one.

I was trying to find my way round a website (Singapore Airlines) and certain
links did not work. Looking at the bottom of my screen I saw that in each
case Java & Popup were mentioned.

If I'm running a program which is barring popups can anyone kindly point me
in the right direction as to what type of program I should be changing?.

I'm running:
Windows XP Pro
Zone Alarm Pro
AVG - free version
BT_Yahoo Broadband

I have installed:
Ad-aware
Spybot

I was not using the BT Yahoo browser but MSIE.

Thank's for your patience

.
Set your Security and Privacy to "medium" in IE
(Internet Explorer) by rightclicking the icon on your
Desktop/Properties/Security tab & Privacy tab, click
Apply and OK after each setting.

Pebso,
You need to be able to toggle your pop-up stopper on and off. Some sites
need to use the java function that they disable for (ahem) legitimate
reasons.

Thank you. The only thing I can think of that could be stopping pop-ups
must be the new BT-Yahoo services I've "had to" upgrade to. I'll have a
look at the settings.

It was the new BT-Yahoo "upgrade" that contains the popup stopper. I've now
set up two accounts, the default one with the popup stopper and the second
one without it.

I've now seen the page that I wanted to and it really wasn't worth the
effort.

Thanks to both of you for the input

That's the opinion of most of the contributors to the Btopenworld. broadband
NG; as you say if we wanted AOL whe'd have joined AOL.
