popups and slow computer

I have been dealing with this problem for about a month.
Everytime I start my computer 2 or 3 pop ups come up. I
downloaded adaware and spybot this helped but didn't
resolve it completely. I downloaded sp2 about a week ago,
and I try to run my internet explorer and I get a ton of
pop ups, and I have it on medium for pop ups, I even ran
it on high one day and I was still getting popups.
Everyday I have to run adaware and spybot to get my
computer to speed up. It takes forever to get word or
outlook express to come up. I defraged my computer a week
ago and have done alot of things. Can someone please help
me out on this. I have also ran my corporate antivirus and
I have no viruses, except two that are in quarantine.

Well Matt,the cold hard truth is those 2 in Q-tine,ahh
you may need those file thats associated with them.This
will help(may fix your problem too.1:Go to start > run >
type in msconfig > start-up tab > uncheck everything >
apply > OK > restart > check utility box that comes
up,don't show again > OK > go to your anti virus > find
options > look for run at start-up and turn it on to come
on at start-up . 2:Go to www.download.com get
hijackthis type highjackthis in the search bar and it
will take you to it,ah what the heck copy and paste it,I
did it for you

-------------------------get it and run it,now some will
have a problem with this,but seeings how you've done
everything else,this will work!CHECK EVERYTHING THAT
COMES UP AND DELETE IT!(Don't worry it makes a backup
copy of it,if you hit config from HJT it's the backup tab
incase you want to restore anything,i'll bet you wont
though!)The first thing you'll need to do is open your
antivirus again and turn it on again if it's off,then go
to your Internet Explorer6,(it should come up with a
blank home page)go to tool,internet options,and then set
your homepage to what you want it to be.Don't worry about
posting your log to a site,get rid of the trash and start
a new.It sounds like your at wits end.What this does,is
removes anything that can cause your problem,worse thing
you'll have to do is when you visit a web site(say you
need ahh flash macromedia to view certain things,you'll
have to select yes to redownload it again)It will not
hurt your computer to do this,just have to update tings
as you visit your web sites again.No biggy for me.I have
2 things show on hijackthis when I run mine,homepage and
antivirus.When I open my AIM instant messanger,I get
3,but always run highjack this and remove it,it comes
back everytime I open it.Some people enjoy their slow A**
computers,but I like mine humming,and thats what I
do,along with Ad aware,spybot and highjackthis.Don't
