POPUP WINDOWS DON'T WORK

I can't seem to get any popup windows to work in Internet
Explorer or Windows Explorer. For example, when I go to
the start menu and clik on search, nothing happens but a
search menu should popup. Another example is when I try to
post to this newsgroup using Internet Explorer. When I
click on new message, the toolbar flashes but nothing
happens. When I go to any internet site that is supposed
to popup another window, nothing happens. Netscape
Navigator does work though. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Let's start with the obvious question: Are you running any pop-up blocking
software?

Thanks for your response Jim. No I am not running any
popup software. I had panicware popup stopper installed
but uninstalled that and am still having the problems.
