Popup Blocker Problems !

I am using XP Pro ...had all updates and SP2 installed and that started my
problems. Even with popup blocker disabled, it still blocks ALL popups
including those I want ! I rolled back the SP ..restarted..and its still
blocking popups.

My question is: how do you shut off that USELESS Microsoft Popup Blocker
FOREVER!

I'm just about ready to dump Windows and move on to Linux !

HELP !!!!!!

If you uninstalled SP2, then you don't have an Internet Explorer popup
blocker and something else you have installed is doing the blocking.
Since we can't see what you have installed, you'll need to examine all
your security software - including your antivirus - to see from where
the blocking is coming.

If you have installed Yahoo or Google toolbar, or maybe one of the security
suites, popups will still be blocked.. Google toolbar has a button to allow
popups.. maybe others do too..

Good luck with the move..

Try checking your IE6 Manage Add-ons and see what gets loaded when IE starts
up. You should see additonal Browser Helper Objects (BHO) that are loaded
each time.

Do you have McAfee Privacy Service, Google, Yahoo, MSN, Live Toolbar, ...?
There are a lot.
