Popping in speakers

James

I have recently purchased 2 brand new sound cards both
creative brands and they have both had popping in the
playback. (they are external, I have a notebook) It is
not the speakers I am sure, I wonder if there is a USB
problem. Is there a USB update that I may need or could
there be another problem? I have disabled the other
sound card and made sure the DMA is enabled. I record on
this computer and desperately need help. I welcome any
suggestions. Thank you

External soundcard put an additional burden on your processor. You may need a
faster processor.
