POP3 reading without marking as read

"Hi -
I have recently purchased a Windows Mobile PDA. It reads my ISP provided
POP3 account and an IMAP email account. I use Outlook 2003 SP2 on my
desktop. If I leave Outlook running on my desktop, it marks as "read" all of
the messages on the POP3 server when it retreives them, so when I am away
from my desk, the Windows Mobile POP3 reader doesn't retreive the messages.
This did not happen when I was running Outlook Express on my desktop.

I have Outlook configured to leave the messages on the server. Is there a
way to get Outlook to retrieve POP3 messages, leave them on the server, and
not mark them as read? Thanks for any suggestions.

I don't think this is possible - you have in a sense 'read' the messages.
You might post in a PocketPC or Activesync newsgroup for more help.
