pop3 password

keep getting repeated requests for password for pop3 from
outlook 2003 under windows xp pro. Knowledge Base article
290684 offers fixes for this problem in 98, ME, NT and
2000 but not for XP. Can anyone help me please?

Had the same problem (using outlook 2000 and XP) and fixed it last night by following the instructions at
